Passport Scanner /OCR Passport Scanner devices capture the document in white, IR and UV (Optional) image, read ID essential information such as name, data of birth, gender, document number, date of expiry and etc. from scanned images. Passport Scanner were equipped with the software development kit with OCR engine built in, which makes our passport scanner capable of reading passports, travel documents, ID cards, driver license and more. Passport Scanner not only provide OCR reading (automatic data entry) of personal ID documents, but also read the contactless chip from passport, some ICAO compliant local ID cards and the contact chip from ISO 7816 smart ID card.

ICAO Compliance
Passport Scanner is able to read an document that is compliant with ICAO9303 standard such as passport, Visa, local ID cards, driver's license and etc. The MRZ on the ID documetns is a very important feature for the ICAO9303 ID documents and the device now is able to decode the ID-1, ID-2 and ID-3 MRZ . It is not enough for a scanner to just decode MRZ, the birometric data in the eID and ePassport need to read out in most of the cases. Passport Scanner is built in contactless chip reader, which is capable of reading ISO14443 Type A and B RFID chip and contact card reader, which is able to read ISO7816 cntact ID card.
