PTFE heater/PTFE heater
PTFE is polytetrafluoroethylene, its English name is Polytetrafluoroetylene, referred to as PTFE, PTFE, F4 and so on. Because of pronunciation, it is often called PTFE, PTFE, PTFE, PTFE, etc. (all are transliterations of PTFE).
PTFE heaters include PTFE electric heaters, PTFE steam heaters and PTFE hot water heaters.
PTFE steam heaters and PTFE hot water heaters are heaters that use small diameter PTFE hoses as heat transfer components. PTFE steam heater and PTFE hot water heater are mainly used for heat exchange of various corrosive media with working pressure of 0.2~0.4MPa and working temperature below 200℃, such as sulfuric acid and extremely corrosive Cooling or heating of chloride solution, acetic acid and caustic medium.
The structure of PTFE steam heater and PTFE hot water heater has two types: shell and tube heater and tube bundle heater. The main part of them is a tube bundle consisting of many small-diameter thin-walled PTFE heat transfer hoses (see figure below). There are a variety of commonly used pipe specifications, outer diameter × wall thickness are 3 ~ 6mm × 0.3 ~ 0.6mm. The tube bundle contains 60-5000 tubes, and the two ends are separated from each other by PTFE tape. The tube bundle is inserted in a ring and welded into an integral honeycomb tube sheet. The other parts of the PTFE heater are similar to the common shell and tube heaters and immersion heaters that use metal tubes as heat transfer components.
PTFE heaters use etched-foil elements sandwiched between rugged layers of PTFE. It can stand up to environments that would make damage in conventional metal-clad heating elements.
It is usually used in applications such as acid baths, medical devices and commercial appliances, etc.
