Lubekote 9919 is a semi-permanent lubricant system designed for coating of bladders and touch up coats on bladders or green tires.

Application:

Lubekote 9919 can be applied directly on the bladder or into the green tire. A thin film provides multiple release.

Preparation of bladder

New bladders should be clean and uncontaminated. Then apply Lubekote 9919 to the new bladder before mounting on the press. Use a light spray, take care to ensure that the exposed surface is fully covered, but do not apply excessive quantities as they may then level out the structure of the bladder surface intended to promote air bleed. Leave the bladder suspended to dry at ambient temperature in a clean dust-free area. The pre-coated bladder should be heated before use. This may be achieved during usual preheating procedures on the press. Then you can start production.

Application on the bladder Reapply the release layer by spraying, painting or swabbing the bladder with Lubekote 9919 when demoulding becomes difficult. The frequency of reapplication should be decided by working conditions.

Application on the green tire For best results inner line of the green tire should be kept clean. Lubekote 9919 can be sprayed, manually with a spray gun or automatically in a spray cabin. It may also be applied with a sponge. Take care not to apply excessive amounts of Lubekote 9919 to prevent vulcanizing problems. When starting up with a new untreated bladder it is recommended at least the first two green tires should be treated with Lubekote 9919 before curing to allow a sufficient release layer to build on the bladder surface. While for a new treated bladder (recommended) the first or second green tire should be treated.

When sponging the green tire for refreshment, there is the possibility not to treat the splices / overlaps of the inner liner with release agent, to prevent vulcanizing problems. Due to the risk of dust deposit on the release layer do not store prepared green tires for longer than 48 hours.

Handling precautions

For industrial use only. Prolonged skin contact with high concentrate dilutions should be avoided. Accidental splashes in the eye should be washed out with copious amounts of water.

Do not allow product to freeze.
