The fundamental difference between deformed aluminum alloy and cast aluminum alloy can be explained by the phase diagram of aluminum-based binary alloy: the alloy located at the left of the B'point belongs to the deformed aluminum alloy, when heated to higher than the solid dissolution line (BD) temperature, it can obtain a single-phase solid solvent, its plastic processing performance is good, suitable for cold and hot pressure processing. Due to the development of casting technology, some of the deformed aluminum alloy components have been expanded to point F. The alloy made to the right at point E belongs to the cast aluminum alloy. Because its tissue contains low melting point co-crystal, good fluidity, can prevent hot cracking phenomenon, suitable for casting and forming. It can be seen that the composition content of cast aluminum alloy is higher than that of deformed aluminum alloy. Aluminum alloy is also divided into two types of heat treatment reinforcement and non-heat treatment reinforcement. The alloy at the left of point D, the composition of the solid solvent does not change with temperature, no phase change during heat treatment, no reinforcement, is called a non-heat treatment reinforced alloy; the alloy composition between DF, the solid solvent composition changes with temperature, that is, the phase change, thus reinforcement, is called the heat treatment reinforcing alloy.
