This type of fire resistant and flame retardant cable is suitable for power distribution lines with requirements of flame-retardant or fire-resistant fixed installations.

Application: Mica Fire Resistant Cable is used in the environment with high demand on fire-resisting performance such as high-rises building, power station, power plant, mine, chemical industry, subway, and so on.
It is recommended that the installation instructions indicated by the Local Electric Code, or any equivalent, be followed, so that the safeguarding of persons and the integrity of the product will not be affected during installation.
Construction: Mica Fire Resistant Cable
Conductor: Stranded round copper conductor (Cu), copper wire annealed.
Insulation: XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene) or PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
Core Identification: 1 Core: Brown
2 Cores: Brown, Blue
3 Cores: Brown, Black, Grey
4 Cores: Blue, Brown, Black, Grey
5 Cores: Green/Yellow, Blue, Brown, Black, Grey
Alternative core identification: White Cores with Black numbers
Filler: Polypropylene filament with lapped binding tape
Separator: Binding tape
Bedding: PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) or LSZH.

During short circuit (lasting less than 5 seconds) the maximum temperature of the cable conductor shall not be above 250℃ (160℃ for PVC)
Environment temperature should be no lower than 0℃ for laying the cable.
Minimum Bending Radius: Single Core Cable: Non Armored Cable 20D, Armored Cable 15D
Cores Cable: Non Armored Cable 15D, Armored Cable 12D.
Remarks: D means practical external diameter of the cable

 

 

Application conditions

1. The long-time permissible operation temperature of conductor shall not be higher than 70oC.

2. Conductor maximum short circuit (not more than 5 seconds) temperature shall not be higher than 160°C.

3. The power cable is not limited by drop in level when being laid, and the ambient temperature shall not be lower than 0°C.

If so, the cable should be preheated.

4. Perfect chemical stability, resistant against acids, alkalis, grease and organic solvents, and flame.

5. Light weight, perfect bending properties, installed and maintained easily and conveniently.
