DS200PCCAG6A GE Industrial Control several versions of power connect cards
Product Description
The DS200PCCAG6A is one of several versions of power connect cards available from GE Industrial Control Systems for use within Mark V turbine control systems. These kinds of boards are typically also compatible with GE exciters and drives. PCCA boards are populated with pulse transformers that are used for gate drive functions to the SCR bridge. Some of these boards also provide snubber circuits for the dampening of power spikes across gate drivers, dc bus and ac lines. Higher horsepower controllers like the G6A typically have these functions located elsewhere in the system.
The DS200PCCAG6A fits within J, K, and M frames. It is compatible with a DCFB power supply board and uses leg fuses and reactors. The board has six transformers located in one line, with locations marked on the board for six other transformers that are located on other versions of the board. This version of the board also lacks jumpers, which most other versions include. Other board components include multiple plug connectors that typically line up with the previously mentioned transformers.
The DS200PCCAG6A does not have any replaceable components, and instead should be replaced as a complete unit. When installing a replacement, users should keep in mind that the PCCA has potentially lethal voltages present on its surface when the unit is powered. Make sure the unit is powered down before touching the board or any connected circuits.
