Description
Once the motor driving the drum reaches its maximum speed, the feed valve is automatically opened. This allows the suspension liquid to enter the drum through the feed pipe, pass through the screen apertures and filter gauze, and be discharged tangentially as centrifuged liquid through the outlet. Meanwhile, the solid phase remains inside the drum. After a set duration, the feed is halted.
Following a predetermined period of separation and dehydration, the washing valve is opened, enabling a cleaning liquid to enter the drum via the washing pipe. The purpose of this is to wash the filter cake.
