Description
The PP Sulzer Double Stage Salt Centrifuge is a type of perforated basket centrifuge that is both continuous and effective. To begin the process, the mixture to be separated is fed through the feeding pipe and the distributor, which then distributes the mixture evenly into the first stage basket. The centrifugal force causes most of the mother liquor in the feed to depart through the sieves and into the liquor-collecting casing, where it is discharged out of the machine. The first stage basket rotates and reciprocates, pushing the formed product cake into the second stage basket. The cake is slowed down by the centrifuge and acted on by more centrifugal force, which guarantees the desired humidity of the cake. The cake is continuously discharged from the basket. For high purity of the solid product, the centrifuge can perform an effective washing. If necessary, the washing agent and the mother liquor can be discharged separately.
