How the product works:
When the military aviation phase change material is in an environment where the temperature is lower than its phase change temperature, the material is in a solid state.
With the increase of the ambient temperature, when the temperature reaches the phase change temperature of the phase change material, the material begins to undergo phase change, from solid to liquid.
During this phase change, the material absorbs a lot of heat, but its temperature remains basically the same. On the contrary, when the ambient temperature is lowered below the phase change temperature, the phase change material will change from liquid to solid, and at the same time release the heat previously absorbed, thus playing a role in regulating the temperature.
For example, in the electronics bay of an aircraft, where the electronics generate a lot of heat when they work, the phase change material is placed around the electronics, and when the temperature is raised to the phase change temperature of the phase change material, the material absorbs the heat and reduces the temperature around the device. When the device stops working and the temperature drops, the phase change material releases heat to prevent the device from getting too cold.
Advantages of the product: 1. High heat storage density
Compared with traditional sensible heat storage materials, phase change materials can store a large amount of heat at the time of phase change, and their heat storage capacity is several times or even higher at the same volume or mass, which is very important for military aircraft with limited space, and can achieve efficient thermal management without adding too much weight and volume.
2. Temperature stability
During the phase transition process, the temperature of the material will remain relatively stable near the phase transition temperature, which makes military aviation equipment maintain a relatively stable operating temperature in an environment with large temperature changes, which is crucial for some temperature-sensitive electronic equipment, instruments and so on.
3. Good reliability and stability
In the field of military aviation, the reliability and stability of materials are extremely high, and phase change materials need to be able to maintain the stability of their phase change properties in complex aviation environments, such as high temperature, low temperature, high vibration, high overload and other conditions to ensure long-term reliable use.

2. Combustion chamber insulation
The combustion chamber temperature of the engine can be as high as 2000℃. The phase change material is used as the heat insulation layer of the combustion chamber, such as the sandwich containing phase change material is arranged in the combustion chamber wall.
When the heat is transferred to the sandwich and the temperature of the phase change material reaches its phase change point (such as the phase change of some ceramic based phase change materials at 800-1000°C), the material absorbs heat, slows the transfer of heat to the engine housing and other components, reduces the thermal stress of the engine as a whole, and also helps to reduce the amount of cooling air and improve the combustion efficiency of the engine.

1. Radar system heat dissipation
In the large radar system equipped with early warning aircraft, there are many electronic components and large power, and a lot of heat will be generated during operation. The phase change material is made into a heat sink or encapsulated in an electronic component housing.
For example, organic phase change materials of 25-40℃ are used. When the temperature of the electronic component rises to the phase change temperature, the phase change material absorbs heat and prevents performance degradation or failure due to excessive component temperature. This enables the radar system to maintain stable performance under long working conditions, and improves the detection accuracy and reliability of the radar.
2. Flight control system temperature control
In an aircraft's flight control system, key equipment such as computers are sensitive to temperature changes.
