ASTM A790 UNS S32750 is a variation of super duplex steel. The duplex steel material is made up of chromium and molybdenum alloy. The duplex has the ferritic and austenitic steel properties in its metallurgic microstructure. This gives the name duplex to the material. The SA 790 UNS S32750 belongs to the super duplex category. There are three groups of duplex, namely the duplex, super duplex and lean duplex. Each of them has their own composition and specific mechanical properties as a result. As the Super Duplex UNS S32750 Pipe belongs to the super duplex category, it is used for high strength and high corrosive applications. The alloy has 25% chromium in its composition along with 4% molybdenum and 7% nickel. This material composition makes it stronger and much corrosion resistant than the ordinary duplex material.

There are cold drawn seamless pipes and hot rolled welded pipes in this category. The seamless pipes are much precise in their dimensions and are less strong than their hot rolled counterparts. The Duplex S32750 Seamless Pipe can be used in applications that require high precision in dimensions and it is easy to fit precisely without the need for special tools. The ASTM A790 UNS S32750 Welded Pipe on the other hand is much stronger. It has some higher absolute roughness than the seamless ones but could be used in applications that require less precision and more strength. The SA 790 UNS S32750 Tube is highly resistant to pitting corrosion as well. Duplex S32750 UNS Seamless Pipe is seen in the chemical processing industry and in handling organic acids due to its high corrosion resistance. The SA790 S32750 UNS Bush Hex Pipe is used in special cases where the hex shape is needed. The UNS S32750 Stainless Steel ERW Pipe is electrical resistant welded and could be welded upon with ease.

Super alloy steels 

Superalloys are simply defined as "alloys developed for elevated temperature service, usually based on group VIIA elements, where relatively severe mechanical stressing is encountered and high surface stability is frequently required". Three classes of alloys have appeared: cobalt-base, nickel-base, and iron-base to meet this definition.

1) Monel 400

Monel is resistant to corrosion and acids, and some alloys can withstand a fire in pure oxygen. It is commonly used in applications with highly corrosive conditions. The good resistance against corrosion by acids and oxygen makes monel a good material for the chemical industry.

2) Monel K-500 /K500

Small additions of aluminium and titanium form an alloy (K-500) with the same corrosion resistance but with much greater strength due to gamma prime formation on aging.
