Cube Beamsplitter, 50/50 Splitting Ratio, Broadband Wavelength Range
Overview: Cube Beam Splitters (CBS) are typically constructed from two right angle prisms that are cemented together with an index-matched adhesive hypotenuse-to-hypotenuse with a dielectric coating in between which allows to split incident light at a designated ratio into two separate beams. For most applications, the prism legs are anti-reflection coated.
Beam Splitters are useful in interferometry, fiber optics, metrology, oceanography, seismology, chemistry, plasma physics, remote sensing, biomolecular interactions, surface profiling, micro fluidics, mechanical stress/strain measurement, and velocimetry.
