Metallic joint, also known as expansion joint, metallic jointis composed of metal bellows and components, mainly to ensure the safe operation of the pipeline. Metallic joint is a flexible thin-walled transverse bellows device with expansion function,. The principle of metallic joint is to use its elastic expansion function to compensate the axial displacement, angular displacement, lateral displacement and combined displacement caused by thermal deformation, mechanical deformation and various mechanical vibration. Metallic joints have the functions of pressure resistance, sealing, corrosion resistance, temperature resistance, impact resistance, vibration and noise reduction. The metallic joint can reduce the deformation of the pipeline and improve the service life of the pipeline.
Performance of metallic joint
The main elastic element of metallic joint is stainless steel bellows. Metallic joint compensates the pipeline in axial, transverse and angular directions through the expansion and bending of bellows. Metallic joint can play the following roles:
1. The metallic joint to absorb the axial, transverse and angular thermal deformation of the pipeline.
