The hardness of alloy is softer than steel ,that means it is more easier to process alloy than steel ,so the tolerance between them is little different ,in addtion,the weigth of alloy is much lighter than steel ,for some big parts in gym exercise , it is more convenient to use alloy instead of steel ,so the exercise becomes more efficient and confortable .
Besides the weight point ,there are also some advantages better than steel , take the surface treatmeat example , the alloy material is to be treated by oxidation finally while the steel has to be plated . you can easily work out the difference between them to make clear of the perfect surface effort using alloy material , but we have to say it is also okay to use both of them on some machines which combines bars feeling nothing different in weight pressure ,but nobody put any dout on the beautiful surface ,light weight and also durable quality life time which is to be the first option for high quality machines.
