Production Description

 

The principle of EDI ultrapure water equipment is to realize the directional migration of ions in water through the selective permeation of cations and anions by cation and anion membranes and the exchange of ions in water by ion exchange resin, so as to achieve the deep purification and desalination of water. Water will be electrolyzed to produce a large number of H + and OH-.These H + and OH- continuously regenerate the anion and cation in the middle of the ion membrane, replenish the ion exchange resin, and there is no need to stop the machine for regeneration.

Polishing resins, are used to remove trace charged ions and weak electrolytes from water, achieving a water resistivity of 18 MΩ·cm.

In contrast to conventional ion exchange equipment, EDI equipment does not require frequent regeneration processes.After a period of time, the exchange capacity of traditional ion exchange resin will be saturated, and it needs to be regenerated with acid and alkali.EDI equipment can produce ultrapure water continuously, as long as there is a stable water supply and power supply, it can continue to work.
This makes it highly reliable in industrial production and can provide a stable supply of ultrapure water for the production process.For example, in the production line of a large pharmaceutical factory, a continuous and stable supply of ultrapure water is essential for the quality and production efficiency of drugs, and this characteristic of EDI equipment can well meet this demand.

 

 

 

 

Maintance

 

Check the influent water quality regularly.
The quality of the influent water is critical to the proper operation of the EDI equipment.The conductivity, hardness, organic content and other parameters of influent water should be tested regularly.If the hardness of the influent water is too high, calcium and magnesium ions in the water may scale inside the equipment, affecting the effect of ion exchange and electrodialysis.
For example, an online water quality monitor can be installed to monitor the quality of influent water in real time.If it is found that the quality of influent water does not meet the requirements of the equipment, such as a sudden increase in conductivity, it may be necessary to pretreat the influent water, such as adding activated carbon filtration or softening devices, to ensure the quality of influent water for EDI equipment.
