WUXI XINFUTIAN METAL PRODUCTS CO., LTD now includes Duplex 2205 (UNS S32205 / S31803), in sheet, sheet coil, plate, plate coil, round bar, processed flat bar and tubular products. Duplex 2205 is ideally suited for high-pressure and highly corrosive environments.
Products Details
2205 Duplex price per pound is usually higher than the ordinary ferritic steel types but is lower than high titanium content alloys. Duplex Stainless Steel 2205 Products are very much stress corrosion cracking resistant. With this quality, they can be applied in high pressure environments. Duplex Steel 2205 pressure vessel material can be used in marine environments and the Duplex Alloy 2205 for onshore industry is a common choice.
Duplex 2205 Stainless Steel grades have high yield strength and a are characterized by their two phase chromium, nickel and molybdenum alloy. 2205 Stainless Steel is a result of continuous modifications over the past and was standardized in 1996. It is very strong in the rage of -50 degrees to 300 degrees Celsius temperature. This material takes precipitation above this temperature range and becomes brittle below the range. Therefore it cannot be applied in cryogenic conditions or at melting point temperatures.
