          Electric deion (EDI) system is a kind of scientific water treatment technology which purifies the water quality through the selection and

 

action of ion by exchange membrane.Electrodialysis device between a pair of electrodes, usually by Yin film, Yang film and the partition (a, b)

 

multiple groups of alternating arrangement, constitute a concentrated chamber and a light chamber (that is, cations can pass through the Yang

 

film, anions can pass through the Yin film).Cationic ions migrate to the negative electrode in the fresh chamber and are trapped by the negative

 

membrane in the concentrated chamber.Anionic migration towards the positive direction of Yin membrane in water, be strong chamber of Yang

 

membrane intercept, such by light chamber on the number of ions in water gradually reduce, become fresh water, and thick the water chamber,

 

due to the ion of Yin and Yang were strong chamber, dielectric ion concentration rising, become thick water, thus achieve the purpose of

 

desalination, purification, concentration and refining

 

       Since the industrialization of EDI membrane reactor technology in 1986, thousands of EDI systems have been installed all over the world,

 

especially in pharmaceutical, semiconductor, power and surface cleaning industries. At the same time, EDI has been widely used in the fields of

 

wastewater treatment, beverage and microorganism.EDI equipment is used in reverse osmosis system, replace the traditional mixed bed ion

forms EDI unit by filling ion exchange resin between negative and positive ion exchange membrane.The working principle of EDI is shown in the

 

figure.EDI module separates a certain number of EDI units with grid board to form concentrated water chamber and fresh water chamber.And a

 

negative/positive electrode is set at both ends of the unit group.Driven by direct current, the anions and anions in the fresh water flow flow

 

through the anion exchange membrane enter the concentrated water chamber respectively and are removed in the fresh water chamber.The

 

water that passes through the chamber carries the ions out of the system and becomes the concentrated water.EDI equipment generally USES

 

secondary reverse osmosis (RO) pure water as EDI feed water.Secondary RO pure water conductivity under 25 ℃ in 5-0.5 mu S/cm

 

(depending on the size of the primary RO water conductivity, secondary RO water conductivity will be a change, but the secondary RO water

 

should not higher than the normal range), under 25 ℃ after dealing with the EDI system of pure water resistivity can be up to 18, 25 M Ω, cm or

 

higher (theory of PH of 7 absolutely pure water resistivity of about 18.29 M Ω · cm, with ultrapure water resistivity is about 18.248 M Ω · cm, in

 

other words, properly handled the EDI water production in the resistivity of the indicators,It can reach the standard of ultra-pure water

 

completely., according to the process water usage and actual system configuration Settings, EDI system is widely used in the preparation of

 

resistivity requirements in 10 to 18 M Ω · cm (25 ℃) of pure water.
