Chemical name: trisodium phosphate (anhydrous)
Molecular form: Na₃PO₄
CAS number: 7601-54-9
Appearance: white crystalline powder or granules, odorless.
Solubility: easily soluble in water, aqueous solution is strongly alkaline (pH about 12).

Food grade trisodium phosphate meets the following international/national standards:
China: GB 25565-2010 "Food Safety National Standard Food Additive trisodium phosphate"
United States: FCC (Food Chemicals Codex) standard
Eu: E339(iii) (as phosphate additive)
Purity requirements: Heavy metals (such as lead, arsenic) content, fluoride, etc., must meet the limit requirements.
3. Uses in the food industry
pH regulator: Used to regulate the pH of dairy products, beverages, etc.
