Optical sorting solutions for
1, Green coffee(color sorting): Optical sorting can reject color defects such as discolored beans, immature and insect-damaged beans in ordinary, specialty, and sundried green coffee applications.

2, Green coffee(FM sorting): Optical sorting can remove foreign material that has been missed or not targeted by the mechanical cleaning process such as sticks, stones, glass, shell, and others caused by the fermentation process such as sour beans.

Arabica and Robusta coffee defects

3, Roasted coffee(color sorting): Optical sorting can separate under-roasted(lighter, white and immature) and over-roasted beans for a better taste and quality.

4, Roasted coffee(FM sorting): it can remove FM(foreign material) such as sticks, stones, and glass from roasted coffee which can not only compromise the appearance of the final product but can also damage mechanical equipment such as grinders.

Product Description  
Color Sorters are machines used on the production lines in bulk food processing and other industries. They sort materials by their colors or shapes, If it is found that there are unqualified materials or impurities in the materials, the ejector will blow out the rejects in the hopper. In the color sorting stage, the grain pile comes into the hopper, from there it goes into the vibrating feeder. The vibratory feeders spread and leveled the grain to a single-layer flow. Two CCD cameras are installed on the two sides of the control area. The single-stream from e.g. Cereal is scanned by the cameras. The data of the video cameras are used in the arithmetic unit and are analyzed in real-time. From the results of image analysis of the signals, and air flow pulse is generated by opening the valves at the moment on the fly by the detected particle. The compressed air pulses with a pressure of (0.4 … 0.6 MPa), which is generated only for the duration of a few milliseconds, blowing the grain into the corresponding receiver module.
