Work function description
The WS2801 internal contains the serial shift register, data latches, the output register, the bandgap reference voltage source, the internal oscillator and programmable constant current drive. WS2801 sampling the serial data input SDI data at the rising edge of input clock signal, and store it to its internal shift register. When the WS2801 is not detected in consecutive 1ms clock CKI signal the existence of the WS2801 will latch previously sampled gray-scale data to the data latch and at the same time to refresh the internal status register in preparation for the next data transfer. WS2801 internal programmable constant current drive to the constant current and constant voltage mode drive an external LED string, through the expansion of the peripheral circuit, these drives high input voltage, constant voltage or current mode drive LED strings.
