The ghost chair was a post modern take one a classic, upholstered, wooden Louis XVI armchair design of the Neoclassical style fo the last-eighteenth century.
Starck had the idea of taking the classic shape of the Neoclassical chair and reimagining it into a modern aesthetic.
To accomplish this, Starck created the chair in clear polycarbonate, a modern material.
The result in an eye-catching, quirky piece that still maintains a classic shape, takes up zero visual space and allows light to filter through it.
