At present, several methods have been used to open the hydrogen bonds between keratin molecular chains. Usually, steam and a certain pressure are used to hydrolyze feathers to increase the availability of nutrients, and heat denaturation is considered the most economical method. Strong alkali treatment and enzymatic methods are also used, but the results are limited. The processing methods of each processing method may be different, but the overall processing conditions are similar. First, the feathers with a moisture content of 60-70% are baked at a certain temperature and pressure for a certain period of time, and then dried at a certain temperature.
