Baremul® -18 is a new generation of high-performance W/O emulsifier launched by Barel. The compound is a polymer emulsifier with good stability, resistance to oxidation, and good compatibility with most cosmetics oils. Its polymeric structure at the oil-wet end of the long carbon chain reduces the influence of polar hydroxyl groups in hydroxyl stearic acid. Thus, the oil-hydrophilic base can be fully extended from the oil-water boundary to the oil phase, so that the stability of the W/O system is not affected by the polarity of the oil, so it is widely used in the preparation of W/O creams and emulsions. From a technical point of view, some paraffin oils and vegetable oils are not easy to emulsify.​​

Usage and dosage:

2 ~ 4%, can be added to the oil phase.

The water phase is slowly added to the oil phase, keep the rapid stirring, after the water phase is completely added, the emulsified body is then homogenized, the homogenization makes its particle size ≤1μm, if the oil phase contains wax, the homogenization temperature should be below 30℃ to ensure the recrystallization of wax. It can be operated cold, cold-hot or hot-hot.
