Description :
The ammeter is an indicator for measuring the charge and discharge of the battery.
In cars and tractors equipped with batteries, the power consumed by the load is supplied by the battery and the generator. When the engine is in a stopped state or running at a low speed, the generator does not generate electricity or the output voltage is very low, and the load consumes only the power of the battery. If the engine speed increases and enters the normal working state, the output voltage of the generator will be higher than the voltage of the battery. In order to check whether the generator is charging the battery or whether the battery is discharging to the load, most cars and tractors connect an ammeter in series between the battery, the generator and the load to detect the charging of the battery by the generator and the discharging of the battery to the load. condition, that is, indicating the magnitude of the charging or discharging current of the battery. When the generator voltage is insufficient or stopped, the load is powered by the battery through the ammeter, at this time, the ammeter should indicate the discharge current. When the generator reaches the normal charging voltage, the load is directly powered by the generator, and the battery is charged through the ammeter. At this time, the ammeter should indicate the charging current.
Note: Does not include wires. Like sensor of the water temp meter, oil temp meter, oil press meter and fuel level meter need to be grounded. Otherwise, the meter cannot get the signal. (The sensor needs to be grounded!!! important!!)
