In Data Center, 100G network Interconnect is expanding rapidly in the market size. The common type of 100G QSFP28 module includes QSFP28 SR4, QSFP28 LR4, QSFP28 PSM4, QSFP28 CWDM4(FR4/IR4) and QSFP28 PLR4. QSFP28 SR4 only provides the fiber link up to 100 meters over MTP/MPO MMF, only suit for In Rack or across Rack application between Server-TOR and LEAF. For in building, across building or campus, exceeding 100 meters, there must need other four single mode transceivers.  Within them, QSFP28 LR4 and QSFP28 PLR4 provides up to 10km transmission for hyper scale data center long distance interconnect (SPINE-CORE, CORE-METRO, CORE-EDGE) when QSFP28 CWDM4 and QSFP28 PSM4 provides up to 2km transmission as the low cost solution for small to medium data center intermediate distance (500 meters to 2km) transmission scenarios for (LEAF-SPINE, SPINE-CORE). 

For most data center intra-interconnect (LEAF-SPINE-CORE), 500m to 2km intermediate connection has the highest popularity, creating the huge demand on QSFP28 CWDM4 transceivers. Enterprise favors QSFP28 CWDM4 rather than QSFP28 PSM4 because CWDM4 mux/demux the 8 optical lanes into bidirectional channel and uses the 2 cores LC cable system rather than PSM4 uses 8 parallel optical lanes and 8 cores MTP/MPO cable system, saving huge costs on the fiber cables when CWDM4 components has the costs advantage on PSM4 solution for over 500m transmission. 

Top-Trans QSFP28 100G Module is designed for 100GBASE and Infiniband archictecture. This QSFP28 CWDM4 module uses CWDM DFB transmitter and PIN receiver to create the 100Gigabit connection via the fiber link over up to 2KM in OS2 SMF. This QSFP28 module features the LC duplex connector which can interoperate with other MSA compliant QSFP28 module by direct connect or MSA SFP28 CWDM (1271, 1291, 1311, 1331nm) module by a CWDM MUX/DEMUX Unit. This QSFP28 module is fully MSA compliant and features the online DOM/DDM to monitor the operation status. This QSFP28 module can be programmed with the compatibility to interoperate with Arista Network QSFP28 ports.
