What is a pyrolysis plant ?

Pyrolysis is well established technique for decomposition of waste plastic , tires, oil sludge to fuel oil and carbon black in the absence of oxygen. The main advantage of the waste plastic pyrolysis plant is the reduction in volume of the waste ,at the same time , this project can bring great benefits to people in the context of energy shortages.

How does a plastic pyrolysis plant work?

Step 1 . Put the raw material into the pyrolysis reactor . Huayin offers auto feeder machine to help feeding , saving time and labour. As long as the size of the tire is not larger than 1.4 meters, the tire can be directly put into the reactor. If they are larger OTR tires, we supply tire cutting machine.

Step 2. Heat the pyrolysis reactor. When the temperature reaches to 300-600 degrees , a large amount of oil and oil gas will be produced. The oil will be collected into the oil storage tanks.

Step 3. Dedusting . During the pyrolysis process , the black smoke will be purified by the ceramic packing dedusting device which can filter the smoke effectively., thus the smoke meets the emission standards. We also have other designs for the dedusting system, customers can choose according to their budget and local emission standard.

Step 4. Discharge carbon black and steel wire. The carbon black will be discharged out by screw conveyor discharger with water cooling jacket , allows discharging at a high temperature.

For 3ton to 5 ton waste raw material , it takes 12 to 18 hours to finish one batch.

For 10 ton to 15 ton waste raw material , it takes about 24 hours to finish one batch.

What waste can be used for pyrolysis?

The composition of the raw material plays a very important role in the oil yield and oil quality. Below raw materials are good for pyrolysis.

Plastc including PE , PP , PS , ABS.

Tires including car tires , truck tires , bicycle/motor cycle tyres ,engineering machinery tires and other rubber scrap products.

Oil sludge waste including drilling mud ,ship bottom sludge, oil soil etc.

What are the end products of pyrolysis?

1. The pyrolysis oil produced from the pyrolysis plant has a widely used in industries field. Due to its relatively high calorific value, it can be used as fuel in the cement factories, glass factories, steel factories, boiler factories, etc.

After the pyrolysis oil is further processed into non-standard diesel by Huayin pyrolysis oil distillation plant , it can be used to generate electricity.

2. The carbon black can be made into pellets then it can be burned as fuel. Or used as raw materials for rubber and plastic industries after grinding.

No waste water , gas and black smoke discharged out . The water for condensing system is circular and the water is separated with the inner oil gas pipe, so there is no waste water. The syngas that can not be liquefied will be used for burning as heating fuel . The smoke produced will be purified by the dedusting device , finally no black smoke and meets the national emission standard.
