1. Product Introduction

 

Sodium hexametaphosphate (SHMP) is an inorganic compound. Its chemical formula is (NaPO3) 6. Sodium hexametaphosphate is a white crystalline powder. It is easily soluble in water and insoluble in organic solvents. Sodium hexametaphosphate is mainly used in the food industry as a quality improver, pH regulator, metal ion chelating agent, adhesive, and expanding agent. It is widely used in sauces, meat products, all kinds of drinks, etc. For industrial use, such as oil field, paper-making, textile, dyeing, petrochemical industry, tanning industry, metallurgical industry and building material industry, sodium hexametaphosphate (SHMP) is mainly used as a water softening agent in solution for printing, dyeing, and boiler.It also can be used in ceramics, glaze and enamel industry.

1. Sodium hexametaphosphate can be used in the food industry
1.1 Sodium hexametaphosphate can be used in meat products, fish sausages, ham, etc. Sodium hexametaphosphate can improve water retention and prevent fat oxidation.
 
1.2 Sodium hexametaphosphate can be used in soy sauce to prevent discoloration, increase viscosity, shorten fermentation period, and regulate taste.
 
1.3 Sodium hexametaphosphate can be used for fruit drinks and refreshing beverages. Sodium hexametaphosphate can increase juice yield, increase viscosity, and inhibit the decomposition of vitamin C.
 
1.4 Sodium hexametaphosphate can be used for ice cream. Sodium hexametaphosphate can improve swelling ability, increase volume, enhance emulsifying effect, prevent cream damage, and improve taste and color.
 
2. Sodium hexametaphosphate can be used in industrial industries.
2.1 Sodium hexametaphosphate can be heated with sodium fluoride to produce sodium monofluorophosphate, which is an important industrial raw material.

Improve glaze viscosity Adding an appropriate amount of sodium hexametaphosphate to the glaze can increase its viscosity, making it less prone to loss during firing, maintaining the thickness and glossiness of the glaze layer, and making the surface of the ceramic smoother and more beautiful.

 

3. Reduce glaze tension

Glaze tension refers to the elevation tension between glaze molecules and gas molecules. The lower the tension of the ceramic surface glaze, the better the stability of the ceramic surface. Sodium hexametaphosphate can enhance the intermolecular forces between glaze molecules, reduce the tension of the glaze surface, and make the glaze more stable and the ceramic surface smoother.
