The hazards of magnesium deficiency in crops
Poaceae: Magnesium deficiency in Poaceae is characterized by yellowing of crop leaves without discoloration of leaf veins, reduction of capillary roots during growth, drying of grains during maturity, and decreased yield.


Leguminous: When leguminous crops lack magnesium, the early mesophyll cells of the old leaves turn yellow, and in severe cases, brown spots appear on the leaves, which eventually wither.
