4. Application
Sodium nitrate is a raw material for manufacturing potassium nitrate, mining explosives, picric acid, dyes, etc. Sodium nitrate is a nitrating agent used in the production of dye intermediates. In the glass industry, it is used as a defoamer, decolorizer, clarifier, and oxidation flux in the production of various glass and glass products.
