Product Introduction

Mono potassium phosphate formula is KH2PO4. When heated to 400 ℃, it melts into a transparent liquid and solidifies into opaque glassy potassium metaphosphate after cooling. It is stable in air, soluble in water and insoluble in ethanol. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate is used as buffer and culture agent in industry. It can also be used as a flavoring agent for bacterial culture and synthesis of sake. It is also the raw material for making potassium metaphosphate, the culture agent, fortifier, bulking agent and fermentation assistant of brewing yeast. In agriculture, potassium dihydrogen phosphate is used as high-efficiency phosphorus potassium compound fertilizer.

B. POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS:
Acute Eye: May cause irritation.
Acute Skin: Skin absorption not likely. May cause irritation, on prolonged contact.
Acute Inhalation: May cause upper respiratory tract irritation.
Acute Ingestion: Ingestion of large quantities may cause irritation, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps.
Chronic Effects: This product does not contain any ingredient designated by IARC, NTP, ACGIH or OSHA as probable or suspected human carcinogens.

First Aid Measures

Eye Exposure:

Hold eyelids open and flush with a steady, gentle stream of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention

if irritation develops or persists or if visual changes occur.

Skin Exposure:

In case of contact, immediately wash with plenty of soap and water for at least 5 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation developes or persists. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Clean contaminated clothing and shoes before re-use.

Inhalation:

If respiratory irritation or distress occurs remove victim to fresh air. Seek medical attention if respiratory irritation or distress continues.

Ingestion:

If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-3 glasses of water to drink and induce vomiting by touching back of throat with a finger. Do not induce vomiting or give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek immediate medical attention. Do not leave victim unattended. Vomiting may occur spontaneously. To prevent aspiration of swallowed product, lay victim on side with head lower than waist. If vomiting occurs and the victim is conscious, give water to further dilute the chemical.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS POSSIBLY AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE:

Inhalation of product may aggravate existing chronic respiratory problems such as asthma, emphysema or bronchitis. Skin contact may aggravate existing skin disease.

1. In agriculture, potassium dihydrogen phosphate is used as high-efficiency phosphorus potassium compound fertilizer, which is suitable for all kinds of soils and crops.

2. In feed industry, potassium dihydrogen phosphate is mainly used as mineral element additive to supplement phosphorus and potassium,
especially in fish feed.
 
3. In industry, potassium dihydrogen phosphate is used as raw material for preparing potassium metaphosphate, culture agent, fortifier, bulking agent and fermentation assistant of brewing yeast.
 
4. In the food industry, potassium dihydrogen phosphate is used to manufacture bakeries, monosodium glutamate and fermentation powder.
