1. Caustic Soda Product Introduction

English Name:Sodium Hydroxide, Caustic Soda

Physical properties: white flakes, granules, shiny, color allowed, hygroscopic, soluble in water.

Solubility: soluble in water, and strongly exothermic. Dissolved in ethanol and glycerol easily; insoluble in ether. Exposed on the air, it will eventually completely dissolved into solution.

Sodium Hydroxide, also called caustic soda, is a white solid inorganic compound with the chemical formula NaOH. It is a strong base with a molar mass of 40.00 g/mol, and it is highly soluble in water but insoluble in other solvents. It has a refractive index of 1.4. It is available in three forms, including sodium hydroxide pearls, sodium hydroxide pellets, and sodium hydroxide granules.
