The drain valve is used for daily observation and discharge when the inner tube sheet leaks, so that the medium on the shell side is effectively isolated by the inner and outer two-layer tube sheets. This is the main reason for adopting the double tube sheet structure type. Another thinks that the double tube sheet heat exchanger can be used in the case where the medium pressure difference between the tube and shell sides is large, and a medium is designed to be added to the cavity between the inner and outer tube sheets to reduce the pressure of the medium between the tube and shell sides. Difference. This is the same as the general single tube sheet heat exchanger, which cannot be absolutely guaranteed to prevent leakage from the orifice of the outer tube sheet. The isolation cavity between the double tube sheets is the main difference from the structure of the single tube sheet heat exchanger (as shown in the figure, the isolation cavity is not connected to the tube side and the shell side, and does not bear the pressure of the medium, but bears the mechanical load and heat of the equipment). Load.
The bearing capacity of the isolation cavity mainly depends on the distance between the double tube sheets. When the fixed double tube sheet is subjected to the shell-side hydrostatic test, there may be leakage at the connection between the inner tube sheet and the heat exchange tube.
