How does the electric tailgate lift work?

Electric tailgate operation principle:

The work of the hydraulic rod mainly depends on the oil pressure, the gap between the tappet body and the seat hole, the gap between valve stem and the seat hole and non-return valve in the tappet. When the hydraulic tappet starts to work, there is no oil pressure in it and the tappet plunger is at the bottom. If the gap between the tappet and the valve is large, the valve will emit an abnormal sound. With the operation of the engine, under the pressure of oil, the plunger chamber is filled with oil and then the plunger goes down. The effective stroke of the tappet increases and the valve clearance decreases. When the force of the compressed valve spring cannot be generated and the tappet-to-valve clearance is smallest, the tappet will not move any more. At the same time, because of the function of the non-return valve, the oil pressure in the plunger chamber cannot be quickly discharged. The plunger keeps in situ and maintains its original length, pushing the opening of the valve.

Common Problems:

1.Bracket installation:

If there is a special bracket, you need to replace the electric tailgate special bracket.

Notice: Unable to reverse, otherwise the trunk door will not be closed.

2.The bracket screws are not replaced as required:

The trunk door will not closed properly and the rod will be damaged.

3.The control box connector is not inserted into the correct position or is loose:

Anti-pinch pressure sensor is not sensitive.

4.Pole ball head and compression springs are not installed properly:

Rod shedding during use(check after installation)

5.The connector is not inserted into the correct position or is loose: Functional failure.

6.The electric suction lock and the lock cannot be deviated, otherwise the door will not be closed and the door gap is too large, resulting in a loud sound.

7.The car has not been started for a long time, resulting in low power:

When the door is opening and closing, the electric tailgate does not work properly and it is necessary to restart the engine.

8.Installing more than 3 kg of soundproof cotton on the tailgate, it will affect the switch gate force and need the controller to increase the force.

9.First installation: Press the tailgate closing button for 3-5 seconds to hear a long beep, then press it again to hear 2 sound “didi”. Finally, the installation is successful.

(If there is no such operation, the electric tailgate will be abnormal when it is running.)

10.The remote control cannot open the door: Please check whether the central control line is connected or not.

Verify whether the current is normal or not: You can use the central control line to touch the battery 3 times. If the trunk door is opened properly, the current is normal. So if the remote control cannot open the door, it is because the central control line is not connected.
