Introduction

 

The process of electrostatic powder coating line

 

1. Pretreatment
 
Objective
 
To remove the oil, dust and rust on the surface of the workpiece, and to form a film layer which can resist corrosion on the surface of the workpiece and improve the adhesion of the spray coating.
 
Main process steps
 
Degreasing, rust removal, chromium free passivation. Common pretreatment includes soaking, spraying, sandblasting and so on.
 
2. Electrostatic spraying
 
Objective
 
To spray the powder coating evenly on the surface of the workpiece.
 
Process stage
 
 Using the principle of electrostatic adsorption, evenly spray powder coating on the surface of the workpiece. The fallen powder can be recovered through the recovery system and reused after sieving.
 
3. High temperature hardening
 
Objective
 
To heat the powder coating on the working surface to the specified temperature, keep it warm for an appropriate time, melt, level and harden, so as to achieve the required working surface effect.
 
Process stage
 
Push the sprayed workpiece into the hardening furnace, heat it to the predetermined temperature, and keep it warm for an appropriate time. Turn on the furnace, take out the cooling, and you can get the finished product.
 
The advantages of electrostatic powder coating line 
 
1. No solvent, reduce pollution
 
Electrostatic powder coating line does not contain solvent. It is 100% solid powder coating and no solvent pollution problems. So it can improve the working conditions of the operator.
 
2. Simplify coating process and improve coating efficiency
 
The coating can be made by spraying, hardening and cooling at one time. In the electrostatic powder coating, automatic production is formed through the configuration of automatic coating machine and recycling system to save energy and resources and improve productivity.
 
3. The powder coating has high utilization rate and can be recycled
 
Compared with liquid paint, electrostatic powder coating can be directly applied on the surface of the coating, and form a coating after baking, which can repair the uncoated powder and send it back to the powder system, so as to greatly reduce the loss of paint in construction.
 
Working principle
 
Electrostatic powder coating refers to the use of electrostatic high voltage polarization of polar molecules. Polyester, polyamide, epoxy and other synthetic polymer powder coatings are applied to the surface of the workpiece after surface treatment (such as phosphating treatment) by electrostatic spray gun, and then the workpiece passes through the drying chamber to form a strong and corrosive coating.
 
Use electrostatic powder coating line equipment to spray powder coating on the surface of the workpiece. Under the action of static electricity, the powder is uniformly adsorbed on the surface of the workpiece to form a powder coating. The powder coating is baked and flattened at high temperature, and the final coating has different effect.
