Forming the Pouch: The film passes through a series of rollers and guides, where it is formed into a tubular shape. The edges of the film are sealed together to create a continuous vertical tube.
Product Filling: The vertical tube is then filled with the powdered product. The product is usually measured by a volumetric or auger filler, which dispenses the desired amount of powder into each pouch.
Sealing: Once the pouch is filled, the top end is sealed by heat sealing or other sealing mechanisms. The sealing process ensures that the pouch is securely closed and prevents any leakage.
Cutting and Separating: The continuous tube is then cut into individual pouches using a cutting mechanism. The pouches are separated from each other and prepared for the next stage.
Final Sealing: The bottom end of each pouch is sealed to complete the packaging process. This ensures that the powder remains securely contained within the pouch.
Optional Additional Features: Depending on the specific machine and product requirements, there may be additional features integrated into the packaging process. These can include date or batch code printing, gas flushing (to displace oxygen with inert gas), zipper applicators (for resealable pouches), and other customization options.
