Scope of application:
2024 aluminum plate is a typical duralumin alloy in the aluminum copper magnesium system. Its composition is reasonable and its comprehensive properties are good. Many countries produce this alloy, which is the largest amount of duralumin. The alloy is characterized by high strength and certain heat resistance, and can be used as working parts below 150 ℃. When the temperature is higher than 125 ℃, the strength of 2024 alloy is higher than that of 7075 alloy. The formability is relatively good in thermal state, annealing and new quenching state, and the effect of heat treatment is remarkable, but the heat treatment process is strict. The corrosion resistance is poor, but it can be effectively protected by coating with pure aluminum; Cracks are easy to occur during welding, but special processes can be used for welding or riveting. It is widely used in aircraft structures, rivets, truck hubs, propeller components and other structural parts.
