Longtai Twines is a major supplier of cable fillers to the electrical cable industry across North America, Europe, Middle East etc. We manufacture a complete product line of plastic (polypropylene), paper, and flame retardant fillers in a variety of put-ups. Common sizes are kept in stock. Additionally, we can manufacture to your specifications on a short lead time.
Flat (Untwisted) Fibrillated Fillers are made by extruding a plastic tape and running it through a mechanical fibrillator which imparts a mesh-like pattern into the filler. This softens the filler and allows it to uniformly fill the vacant spaces between conductors inside the cable. We manufacture sizes from .045” (1.2mm) to .180” (4.6mm). We make both standard and flame retardant fibrillated fillers. Put-up is on 12” traverse by 3.25” I.D. tubes.
Twisted Plastic Fillers are formed by taking an extruded tape and twisting it to form a round length. These fillers are used where a round profile is best for filling a void, typically in larger cables. We manufacture sizes from .045” (1.2mm) to .350” (8.9mm). We make both standard and flame retardant twisted fillers. Put-up is on 10” traverse by 2” I.D. tubes.
Twisted Paper Fillers are made by slitting large rolls of paper into varying widths and twisting these widths (typically with a strength reinforcing fibre) into a round filler. The paper used in this process is treated to be moisture resistant. We manufacture sizes from .055” (1.4mm) to .313” (8.0mm). We make both standard and flame retardant paper fillers. Put-up is on 10” traverse by 2” I.D. tubes.
