What Is a Hydraulic Filter?
The hydraulic filter is a component within a hydraulic system that removes damaging particulates by forcing hydraulic fluid through a porous filter element. The filter element catches contaminants and prevents them from re-entering the fluid flow and damaging other pieces of equipment further downstream.
Share Filters' injection moulded hydraulic filters consist of a stainless steel mesh and synthetic filter mesh held in a polymer plastic frame, allowing for a more robust part/product giving more reliability and longevity in its use. Injection moulding can take many forms and Share Filters is fully capable to help develop and produce the injection moulded filter product that will best suit your needs, as well as, offering any additional advice or service along the way.
In-line hydraulic filters are integrated into a hydraulic system and are used to remove impurity from hydraulic oil. In-line filters are installed on the return line before the pump, valves, and cylinders to clean contaminated hydraulic fluid before it is returned to the tank and recirculated into the system. Clean hydraulic fluid reduces contaminant buildup, reduces maintenance costs, and extends the working life of system components. In-line hydraulic filters can be installed in all typical hydraulic systems, such as those found in industrial, mobile, and agricultural settings.
