Product description:
Magnesium Fluoride (MgF2) IR crystal is used for optical elements in the infrared where extreme ruggedness and durability is required.
MgF2 IR Windows useful transmission range is 0.11 μm - 8.5 μm. Irradiation does not lead to color centers. Magnesium fluoride (MgF2) is a rugged, hard material which is resistant to thermal and mechanical shock. Considerable mechanical shock is needed to cause cleavage. So high purity and polish is extremely critical during processing.

Crystrong provides Magnesium Fluoride crystal is used as a optical lens, optical prism and optical windows for wavelength from 110nm to 7.5μm.
It is a most suitable material as window for ArF Excimer Laser, for the reason of its good transmission at 193nm.
It is also effective as an, optical polarizing element in the ultraviolet region. Any more MgF2 crystal has fine grain, which is appropriate as a vacuum evaporation coating materials.
