Product Details:
The Profibus-DP Network Interface Unit (IC200PBI001) operates as a slave on a Profibus-DP network, automatically exchanging I/O, status,
control, and diagnostic data with a master device. The NIU interfaces VersaMax I/O modules to a Profibus network. Together, the NIU and its
modules form an I/O station capable of handling up to 375 bytes of I/O data, consisting of up to 244 bytes of discrete and analog input data and up
to 244 bytes of discrete and analog output data. The system host can be any device capable of operating as a bus master.
The Network Interface Unit installs on a 35mm x 7.5mm conductive DIN rail. A VersaMax power supply module mounts directly on the righthand
side of the NIU. LEDs on the lefthand side indicate the presence of power and show the operating mode and status of the NIU. Three rotary dials
beneath a clear protective door are used to configure the NIU’s address on the Profibus network. The 9-pin D-shell connector is used to connect
the bus cable.
