Printing service:

Custom printing is one of the main services we offer in yifengyuan Packaging.We have state-of-the-art rotogravure press up to 10 colors, reverse printing sandwiched between two films in utilization of food grade ink (FDA approved). Different visual effects can be achieved by means of cost-effective method:

• accurate color consistency,

• vivid photographic image,

• Natural Kraft paper look

• foil appearance,

• metallic look,

• embossing pattern,

• spot glossy area in contrast with matte finish, etc.

Flexo and rotogravure printing are two types of printing press used in packaging industry. The amount of color realized is the primary difference between these two methods. With Flexo printing, the colors established on a flexo printing press are called PMS colors or spot colors in pattern of solid dots as opposed to process colors in pattern of the tiny CMYK dots with process printing. Spot colors cannot overlap in order to create additional colors, With rotogravure printing, it can use CMYK 4colors as well as Pantone spot colors to create a virtually unlimited array of colors. It is a must to reproduce a full-color photographic image in your artwork.

If your packaging artwork has very tiny type or ultra thin lines, the PMS solid color (Pantone spot color) works better because the process color use CMYK tiny color dots to create lines, it may appear to be jagged when it’s very small.

If your packaging artwork contains metallic or fluorescent colors, you’d better use PMS colors (except in cases of using metalized Polyester which generates a metallic look when printing on it )

If you have great concern about the color consistency from one packaging material to another, PMS color will be better.

If a full-color photographic image is used in your artwork, 4 color process is a must because it can reproduce the graph in rich color fidelity thus yields much better effects than solid color does.
