Here's how the process works:

 

Structure of the Liner: Induction sealing liners typically consist of several layers:

Backing Material: This is usually a pulpboard or foam material that provides structural support.

Sealing Layer: A heat-sealable layer that bonds with the container when heated.

Aluminum Foil Layer: The foil layer is induction-compatible and heats up rapidly when exposed to the electromagnetic field.

 

Induction Sealing Process:

The liner is placed inside the cap or closure of the container, with the sealing layer facing the container opening.

When the capped container passes through an induction sealing machine, an alternating current electromagnetic field is generated by a sealing head.

This electromagnetic field interacts with the aluminum foil layer in the liner, causing it to heat up rapidly through induction.

The heat generated melts the heat-sealable layer, which then bonds with the rim of the container when the cap is applied and tightened.

As the container moves away from the induction sealing machine, the foil layer cools and solidifies, creating a secure and tamper-evident seal.
