Floats Marine Dredging Pipeline Floater For Dredging Project
The hull of dredging floaters are made from PE material with good flexibility, and it is filled with high density polyurethane foam inside. With reasonable structure and good performances, the polyethylene dredging floaters are ideal to replace the steel pontoons for the floating discharging pipe.
1. Good flexibility and excellent impact resistance, particularly suitable for the installation in the sea;
2. Light weight, easy for installation and handling, with lower costs for transportation;
3. Corrosive Resistance with longer working life, it could work 3 times longer than steel pontoons.
4. The costs and performances are more economical than steel pontoons.
5. Usually, 2 pieces of floaters are worked for 1 pair, 2 pairs for floaters are worked for 1 group, 1 group floaters could float 6-meter-long steel pipe and 1.5-meter-long rubber hose.
In actual use, the following inspections are also carried out to ensure the normal and safe use of the floating body:
1. The buoyancy of the floating body is generally required to be greater than 30% of the weight of the pipeline itself (including mud with a specific gravity of 1.3). When the pipeline is working, the height above the water is about 1/4 of the height of the steel pipe.
2. The overall weight of the floating body: not less than 3-5% of the ordering parameters, because the weight of the floating body is related to the weight of the floating body's shell, the specific gravity and volume of the floating body's foam, and it is difficult to guarantee the strength of the plastic shell and the specific gravity of the foam for the floating body whose weight is too light. The specific gravity of foam shall be about 35 kg/m3.
3. The plasticization degree of the plastic shell of the floating body. The plasticized interior of the floating body should be flat and smooth without obvious particles. At this time, the plastic shell has the best tensile strength.
