Depending on the edge of the wire, there are three types of wire:
twisted-twisted chain link, knuckle-knuckle chain link and knuckle-twisted chain link.Knuckle edges avoid sharp tops, while twisted edges also known as barbed edges, offer greater security and are more widely used.
• Knuckle-Kunckle type chain link: the wire is knuckled at both ends andaddreviated as "KK" Type.
• Knuckle-Twisted type Chain Link: the wire is knuckled at bottom and twisted into "barbed" selvedge at the top and and addreviated as KT type or KB type.
• Twisted-twisted type chain link: The wire is twisted into "barbed" selvedge at both ends and andaddreviated as TT type or BB type.
