There are two kinds of extruded feed using twin-screw feed extruder, one is dry extruding, and the other is wet extruding. Below we analyze and compare two different puffing methods in the dog food puffing process. Dry puffing requires adding water to the raw materials during the production process. The raw materials are not pre-conditioned before entering the puffing chamber, and the heat generated during the puffing process is all generated by the raw materials through the screw, shear plate and puffing chamber under the action of mechanical extrusion. The difference between wet puffing and dry puffing is that the raw materials are prepared in advance before entering the puffing, and the temperature is raised by steam or water to pre-cure. The so-called tempering refers to heat-moisture effect on pet food raw materials through steam, so that the starch in the raw materials is pre-gelatinized, the protein is denatured, and the raw materials are softened, which is beneficial to improve the puffed granulation effect and puffed quality of dog food.
The wet-process extruder has reasonable structure, beautiful appearance, stable and reliable operation, and the working parts are made of special wear-resistant alloy. The machine adopts wet puffing process, which is characterized in that the raw materials need to be tempered before entering the puffing cavity, so that the material is heated and humidified, and part of it begins to gelatinize and mature, and then enters the puffing cavity for puffing. The feeding device of this machine , The cutting device is controlled by frequency conversion motor, and it is equipped with an external discharge mechanism. The wet extruder is suitable for extruding soybeans, pet feed, floating feed, such as cow baby feed, perch feed, etc., and submerged feed, such as shrimp feed, crab feed, etc.
