► Brief Introduction
A fuse is a safety device in ECG machines that prevents higher than normal current from flowing through the circuit. It consists of a wire that melts and breaks the circuit when the current exceeds a specified value. A fuse is always placed in series with the component that needs to be protected from overcurrent so that when the fuse blows (opens), the entire circuit is broken and no current can flow to the component. This type of time-delay fuse is sometimes called a surge protection fuse or a time-delay fuse. A typical fuse will not allow a peak current to exceed the rated current of the fuse. These time-delay or time-lag fuses can withstand the overload for a limited time. This type of time-delay fuse is used in diagnostic ECG systems.

►Fuse Removal
Locate the fuse on the bottom of the unit.
Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the slot of the fuse holder, push in slightly and rotate the screwdriver
counterclockwise 1/4 turn. The fuse holder is spring loaded and will come out easily
►Proper Fuse
The specified protection for use is similar to the type of battery. The fire caused by the possibility of non-changeable protection. Before operation, please be sure to use safety equipment.
►Note
Remove the battery fuse before disassembly.
You will not lose any ECG or settings if you remove the battery fuse.

1.When installing a new board, do not replace the battery fuse until all cables are connected to the board.
