When the pulse power supply discharges the driving coil, a large pulse current of more than ten kiloamps or even tens of kiloamps will be generated. Commonly used large current measurement methods include shunt method, optical method, Hall effect method and Rogowski coil method. In recent years, researchers have explored new pulsed high current testing technologies such as electro-optical methods and magneto-optical methods.
The bidirectional peak current of this RLC discharge has a better defibrillation effect and causes less damage to human tissue. The discharge time is generally 4~10ms. An open-circuit iron core coil is used to prevent the output waveform from changing due to a drop in the inductance value due to saturation of the iron core caused by large current during discharge. In addition, there is high voltage in defibrillation, which poses a risk of accidental electric shock to the operator and the patient. Therefore, incorrect operations must be prevented and various protective circuits must be adopted.
