Cheap, the cost of its ultrafine powder is less than 1/10 of the cost of wood pulp fiber; while the resin polymer material derived from petroleum accounts for only about 25%. When the price of petroleum is not very high (such as the price of crude oil 100 US dollars per barrel), the overall cost of stone paper is significantly lower than that of plant fiber paper. Without including the production cost, the raw material cost of wood pulp fiber paper is about 25% higher than that of stone.
