When zeolite is activated at high temperatures, the water content is lost, resulting in the formation of numerous pores with a uniform pore size inside the crystal structure. These pores contribute to the zeolite's remarkable adsorption capacity. The unique structure of zeolite enables it to effectively capture molecules with a diameter smaller than its pore size and draw them into the pores. Consequently, molecules larger than the pore size are unable to enter the pores and remain outside. This selective adsorption mechanism allows zeolite to separate molecules of different sizes. When it comes to the removal of heavy metals from water, zeolite's adsorption properties are particularly advantageous. The porous structure of zeolite provides a large surface area for the heavy metal ions to attach to, effectively removing them from the water and reducing their concentration. In summary, zeolite's high porosity, large internal surface area, and selective adsorption capabilities make it an excellent material for adsorbing heavy metals in water. Its ability to separate molecules based on size and its strong adsorption capacity contribute to its effectiveness in various applications, including gas purification and water treatment.

PSA TECHNOLOGY INTRODUCTION

PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) Technology a revolution in Non Cryogenic Air Separation and Oxygen Generation Technology uses special grade of ZMS ( Zeolite Molecular Sieve).
The compressed air is passed through a Twin Tower PSA module interconnected with automatic change over valves. After passing through a Refrigerated Dryer air gets dried. Dried compressed air will now come in contact with bed of Zeolite molecular sieves (ZMS).

Zeolite Molecular Sieves are special grade of adsorbent which have the property of preferential adsorption of nitrogen molecules.

The outgoing oxygen gas is sent to a surge vessel where the minimum pressure will be maintained with the help of Back pressure Regulator.
