• JGS1 Quartz Glass: Made from synthetic stone with SiCl4 as raw material, melted by high-purity oxyhydrogen flame. Contains a high amount of hydroxyl (around 2000 ppm).
• JGS2 Quartz Glass: Produced by gas refining with crystal as raw material, containing metal impurities in the range of dozens of PPM.
Properties:
• JGS1:
• Excellent UV transmission, especially in the short-wave UV region.
• High transmission rate at 185 nm, reaching 90% or more.
• Practically free of bubbles and inclusions.
• JGS2:
• Good UV and visible transmission.
• Contains absorption peaks at 2730 nm due to hydroxyl content (100-200 ppm).
• May have bubbles in larger dimensions.
