1.Starting with an Empty Container:
The process begins with an empty tinplate or aluminum container that moves through the production line.
2.Filling the Can with Liquid Product:
Once the containers are positioned, the liquid product is fed into the can, excluding the propellant. At this stage, liquid volumes are checked for compliance with Weights & Measures standards.
3.Aerosol Valve Installation:
The aerosol valve is carefully placed on the can, and the crimping device is securely installed to prevent any leaks from the can or valve seal.
4.Propellant Injection:
As the can continues down the production line, the propellant is injected under pressure. This can be either liquid or compressed gas. Liquid gases coexist with the liquid component in the can, while the aerosol forms a vapor in the headspace.
5.Leak Testing:
After filling, cans are routinely tested for leaks to ensure product integrity.
6.Load Verification:
The filled cans are verified to ensure they are filled to the correct level.
7.Batch Coding and Cap Application:
The batch and date are encoded on the actuator to ensure full traceability, followed by the application of the cap.
8.Labeling:
If required, the cans are labeled using either wet glue or self-adhesive labels.
9.Packaging:
The final step is to wrap and package the products for distribution.
